Digital art has provided a great amount of room to experiment without having to be worried/limited by work materials on hand. I have my qualms with this polarizing medium that seems to be a touchy subject with some other artists, but just like everything else in the world, not everything is entirely horrible. It has its place in expression, and I think it only truly matters that art is made by humans and not stolen in mass and disgustingly regurgitated by AI.My digital brushes of choice are based on traditional mediums and have been able to translate a lot of that experience to those respective art mediums in real life. I prefer traditional mediums as they’re far more tactile and aesthetically have more texture going on with them. I genuinely keep myself shortcut-illiterate so I don’t implement too many ways to bypass learning opportunities that come with having to erase and redraw lines to correct them. But it’s a lot of fun to be able to do things like sharing the process of a piece or go back to old work to compare my old work flow to what it is now. This page is a culmination pieces I drew using the art programs Procreate and Clip Studio Paint on iPad. Thanks for looking!

An artist I really look up to passed along the opportunity to draw some posters for The Bremen Theatre in Bremen, IN last year and it has changed my life. Working on these projects have pushed me to learn more and go beyond my comfort zone of what I thought people wanted from my art. I was allowed to pick which movies I was going to illustrate work for and was given complete creative freedom as to how these turned out. It was a literal dream come true to have been able to make a poster for one of my life-long favorite video game series!Being trusted with a piece without being given rules other than to push a concept as far as I want to go with it has been surreal. I can’t thank the Bremen Theatre enough, but I can plug their social media accounts on this page and hope that being told that a small business/non-chain theatre using local human artists for a unique look in a cozy old school lobby might be worth paying a visit to.
